Four cities team up once again to bring you the sixth annual United Islam Awareness Week across Western Canada. This collaborative effort will feature dynamic exhibits, captivating seminars, and prominent speakers who will tour the cities of Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, and Regina on February 5th-9th, 2018.
United Islam Awareness Week challenges you to confront the misinformation and stereotypes surrounding the fastest growing religion in the world. Join us for a week-long event that explores topics like Islamophobia, the Qu’ran, and the Prophet Muhammed under the Post-Truth Era.
What has the media taught you about Islam? What is our purpose in life? What does the Qu’ran actually say? Who really was the Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h.)? These are all questions you may have thought of before but may not have had an outlet to have these questions answered. Come ask any questions you have about Islam – judgement free. Now’s your chance!
United Islam Awareness Week is a unique project between the Muslim Students’ Associations of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT, Edmonton), the University of Calgary (Calgary), the University of Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), and the University of Regina (Regina). United Islam Awareness Week is also an amazing opportunity for cross-city collaboration between Muslim faith groups.
